If you know your constitution, vata types who are feeling off balance can benefit from including some meat in their diet, especially if they are feeling ungrounded, spaced out and undernourished. Kapha types do well on a warm vegan diet.  Pitta types can do well with or without meat in their diet. If you eat meat this recipe is fine for all types.

If you are at the stage of gut challenges where gluten has become a problem (once the Ayurvedic approach healed my digestive issues I could eat gluten again) make some rice instead.

Pasta: I tossed the pasta in ghee, rock salt, lemon zest and a little freshly ground black pepper.

Fresh tuna steak: seared in hot ghee for about 30 seconds on each side then popped in a hot oven for a couple of minutes.

The wild garlic was wilted in a tiny bit of water.

I squeezed some lime over the tuna.

Simple and easy!

Wild garlic pesto
Chicken broth with barley & lime pickle
