I popped 1/3 cup basmati rice in the slow cooker overnight with 9 times the amount of water and cooked on low. In the morning I added 1 inch grated fresh ginger, and a few pinches each of turmeric powder, fenugreek, and black pepper. Then I added 3 tablespoons of homemade kefir, some hazelnut dukka, fresh cilantro, and rock salt to my taste — a few pinches I like it quite salty.

Kapha types you could add chillis too, but go easy on the salt. Pitta types also go easy on the salt and add in some bitter leaves. Vata types the above recipe is good to go!
